The firm’s principal, D. Ronald (“Ron”) Reneker, retired from his position as a Senior Litigation Shareholder with Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr PC at the end 2024 and formed Reneker PLLC as a solo practice concentrating on consultation regarding pending or threatened business lawsuits and arbitrations; expert analyses, opinions, and testimony regarding professional liability of lawyers; and service as an arbitrator in sponsored and ad hoc proceedings involving business and professional liability issues. To this new endeavor, Ron brings more than half a century of legal experience, during which he has been a trial and appellate lawyer, an expert witness, and an arbitrator.
During his lengthy career, Ron has tried numerous jury and non-jury cases and handled many appeals in state and federal courts and has served as advocate in arbitrations, with emphasis on business and professional liability disputes on both sides of the docket. Ron has had significant representation of lawyers and law firms in matters relating to professional liability and firm withdrawals / dissolutions. He has been designated as an expert witness in the area of professional responsibility in twenty-nine cases, has given depositions in twelve of the cases and has testified in five trials and arbitrations. Ron’s clients have ranged from local businesses, professional firms, and individuals to national and international companies.
Ron received his B.A. degree from the University of Tulsa and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law. While in law school, Ron was an Associate Editor of Texas Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif for graduating in the top ten percent of his class.
